There are many ways to get involved with the Hamilton County Democratic Party.  From serving on the Executive Committee, attending meetings and events held across the county, to volunteering to help us reach all Democratic voters in the county this year, there is a place for you with us.

Clubs are a great way to get to know us and we have several welcoming new members.

HCDP volunteersJFK Club

The JFK Club is a political club for Democrats in Hamilton County, and named for our 35th US President. Each meeting brings different guests, presentations and speakers to local Democrats, and we often enjoy lively discussions as well.

Luncheon meetings of the JFK Club are held on the third Tuesday of every month. An e-mail message is sent to members the week before each meeting with menu options and other details. To become a member of the JFK Club and to insure you receive notification of the meetings, please send your email address to Jane Elmore. For additional information, feel free to call Jane at (423)827-4049.

Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women’s Club

Established in 1975, the Greater Chattanooga Democratic Women’s Club is connected by charter to the Tennessee and National Federations of Democratic Women, the latter group being recognized as an auxiliary of the Democratic National Committee. As such, the GCDWC works locally in cooperation with the Hamilton County Democratic Party. The Annual Luncheon, held each Fall, is the Club’s primary fundraising event and is open to both women and men, as is membership in the Club.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month.  See their Facebook page for more information.

HCDP volunteersHamilton County Young Democrats

The Young Dems work to provide Chattanoogans under the age of 36 with a medium for activism, leadership development, and education, while helping develop, support, and further progressive platforms on a local, state, and national level.  Follow them on Facebook for upcoming events.

There are many student-led Democratic clubs in Hamilton County high schools and colleges.  Contact for more information on these clubs.
